From the Secretary, November 2004:

I would like to begin by thanking, on behalf of the Board, everyone who contributed nominations for officer positions. I would also like to thank all of the nominees, who, in being an exceptionally talented and dedicated bunch, made the Board's decisions pleasantly difficult. Furthermore, I would like to thank the outgoing officers who have contributed countless hours of effort without whom Quest could not function.

We are lucky to have so many people dedicated to Quest, and we would like to encourage all of you to please keep contributing to Quest and making this organization great.

With that, I am happy to announce the Quest Officers for the 2005 year!

CG GAME WORLD COMMITTEE

The Game World Committee is responsible for maintaining the continuity and integrity of the game world and will handle character and game world related proposals. It will facilitate flow of information, reconcile contradictory material (when necessary), compile information brought into game by GMs and PCs, and is intended to help, not hinder, the development of new game material.

RULES COMMITTEE

The Rules Committee is responsible for maintaining consistency of rules interpretation both during and between games, and will handle all rules proposals except those which the Game World Committee is empowered to deal with. (Most Rules Committee business will be conducted over email). During games, members of the committee will act as Rules Marshals.

WEAPONS STAFF

The Weapons Staff will act as Weapons Marshals during games, and will assist the Weapons Manager in his duties (weapons storage, transportation, maintenance, etc.).

PROPS STAFF

The Props Staff will assist in the maintenance of props (costumes, spell books, etc.).

Any interested parties should contact the Secretary (secretary@quest.org) by December 1. The names of all volunteers will then be passed on to the various chairs for consideration. The committees will start the their new term on January 1st.

Thank you again to everyone who has, and continues to make Quest the wonderful thing that it is through your participation, dedication, and input. We're looking forward to an awesome year!
