Ennitaria (enn-ih-TARE-ee-ah) is a now-defunct kingdom once sitting between Allondell, Kislevia, and the Grendarr Mountains. Culturally it was a mix of Allondine and Kislevian.

In April 993, King Roderick, in a move not well received, declared that orcs (and grum) within his kingdoms would be considered his subjects and granted the same rights and privileges as all other subjects. Most believed that the old king had gone mad. While the kingdom's orcs readily enjoyed his military protection, they were considerably less inclined to pay their taxes to the crown... With legal obstacles preventing human soldiers from clearing out any orcish settlements, orcish banditry rose.

January of 996 marked a historic accord between Allondell and Chardreau, as the two kingdoms officially brought an end to the minor hostilities plaguing the border between them. With his southern border secure, King Harold of Allondell thus proclaimed in February 996 that Allondell could no longer endure the orcish raids rolling over the Ennitarian-Allondine border, sacking Allondine towns and caravans. It is debatable whether such raids were truly of crisis proportions, but they did provide enough excuse for Allondell to thus declare that it would invade Ennitaria to dethrone Roderick and remove the mad king, for the good not only of Allondell but Ennitaria as well.

Kislevia quickly responded that while it too had no love for Roderick, it could not see Ennitaria turned into an Allondine puppet. Kislevia invaded Ennitaria preemptively, before the Allondine forces could muster. The Kislevians held substantial amounts of the country by the time the Allondines arrived in late March. Few nobles remained loyal to Roderick, but the loyalist forces holed up in the capital of Danris, awaiting siege. The remaining nobles quickly sided with Kislevia or Allondell in hopes of profiting from their ally's future victory. Indeed, many hoped that the victor would put them onto the throne after Roderick's deposition.

Danris fell on October 2, and King Roderick was killed; it is not known who killed him. With the loyalists out of the way, the war concentrated on the Kislevian-Allondine front. The war soon approached stalemate, with neither side making significant gains in the months to follow. The war officially ended in Ennitaria on January 20, 997, as Kislevia and Allondell signed a treaty dividing Ennitaria between them along a line approximating the war front.

Today, the former Ennitaria is known as the "New Counties" in Allondell, and the "Neugraftschaften" in Kislevia. The current counts of the 11 new counties are all war heroes, given the titles of Count/ess or Earl as a reward. Each recipient was also chosen for loyalty to his/her King, and each ruthlessly puts down any pro-Ennitarian rebels within their domain.
