CG 115: "In Case of Fire"

In the town of Tursbury in western Allondell, something is very wrong. The natural world itself seems to be staging a revolt against the town, with unseasonably harsh weather, tremors in the earth, and even wildfires ravaging the lands surrounding the settlement. The cause of these disturbances eludes the local lord's scholars and mages, and Aldred, Lord of Tursbury and younger brother to Langdon, Earl of Sutweald, has petitioned the Earl for aid. The soldiers that were sent in response have been devoted to organizing the evacuation of the town and its surrounding homesteads, but Lord Aldred has also been granted the means to finance the hiring of adventurers with the expertise and force of arms necessary to learn the cause of these unnatural disasters and put an end to them. As such, the Lord has sent out a general call for mercenaries, scholars, and other such intrepid souls as might be of use in solving the mystery that plagues his lands.

Continuing Game 115: "In Case of Fire" is a two-day LARP event that will be held on March 26-27, 2010, at the Wesleyan University campus.

Players are requested to RSVP to cg115.

The event will cost $20, or $10 if this is your first or second Quest event. Current players who recruit new players will receive a 5 mark reward per recruit!

This game will be heavily-plotted, involving exploration, investigation, and high-stakes action, and will feature moderate-to-high combat. The game will feature various types of gameplay suitable for a wide range of character types.

Check-in will be in the Butterfield C Lounge on Friday from 7:30pm to 8:30pm. New players (and players starting new characters) should arrive at 7:30pm, so that they will have time to make new characters before the New Player Orientation at 8:00pm. Action is expected to end at about midnight on Friday, resuming on Saturday at 11:00am and ending at about 11:00pm.

The game will feature snacks on Friday night, and lunch and dinner on Saturday. If you have any allergies or other dietary restrictions, please inform the GMs. You are asked to RSVP by email for this event, so that the GMs will know how much food to buy.
