CG 117: "Racing the Dragon"

Trade has been prosperous in recent years between Tamplonia and the East, with the treasures of Hesket traded for spices, silks, and rare items from Dosan. A dignitary from Meng Guo has decided to visit the "Lands in Which the Sun Sets", and has informed the nobility of Tamplonia that they wish a grand tournament to be held on the Eighth of May, an auspicious day.

The dignitaries have brought along their own renowned chefs, their own tournament champions, and a collection of magnificent prizes for those who wish to take part in the tourney.

Should things go well at this tournament, relations between Hesket and the East will improve. Should things go sour, well, let's just say that the nobles of Tamplonia will be doing all they can to ensure that such an event does not come to pass.

Continuing Game 117: Racing the Dragon is an afternoon LARP game that will be held on May 8, 2010, at the Wesleyan University campus.

Players are requested to RSVP at cg117.

The game will cost $15, but is free if this is your first or second Quest event. Current players who recruit new players will receive a 5 mark reward per recruit.

The game will be light in nature, and feature a feast coupled with tournament-style games.

Check-in will be in Butterfield COL Room 210 from 12:00pm until 1:00pm. New players (and players starting new characters) should arrive at 12:00pm, so that they will have time to make new characters before New Player Orientation at 1:00pm. Players who arrive after 1:00pm that have not made prior arrangements will be subject to in-game penalties. Game is expected to end around 6:00 p.m.

The game will feature a meal, snacks and drinks. If you have dietary restrictions, or would like more information, please email GMs Joseph Melendez or Jim Vincent (cg117). You must be 18 years or older to participate in this (or any) Quest event.
