“An Ill Wind”
Continuing Game 126

The camps are littered with papers, one of the few things, it seems, not to be in short supply by late winter. Most of them flutter around ignored until someone needs kindling. Some, however, whether pinned to the mess tent or let flutter as the wind takes them, do get read eventually. This is one such.

Mission — Weapon Retrieval

Intelligence reports inform us that Emilian or his agents have been pursuing weapons research of an unholy nature. The facility in question is beyond the reach of the main army; however, a strike team can be brought close enough to penetrate the facility and retrieve or destroy the materials kept there. Volunteers are preferred.

All volunteers are to receive an initial payment before departure with a further bonus payable to either themselves or a next of kin upon completion of the mission.

All further information is classified and will be disclosed to mission personnel only.

Volunteers report to Commander Herdwine on March 3rd at 5:00pm.

When?

March 3rd, 2012. Check-in will be held from 5:00pm to 6:00pm; new players should arrive at 5:00pm to make new characters and attend orientation. The game is expected to run until approximately 11:00pm.

Where?

The Butterfield C Lounge, on Lawn Ave in Middletown, CT.

How much?

$10, but is free for first-time players or for anyone who brings along a first-time player.

Game style?

This will be a heavily-plotted event with a mixture of combat and problem-solving; sneaky characters and those with technical skills will find uses for their talents alongside warriors and magic-users. Players should take note that this is a potentially-deadly game.

"An Ill Wind" is an evening-long LARP event, set in the world of the Continuing Game.

Players are asked to RSVP at cg126.

This game is set amidst the crusade against the unholy Overlord of Bilgosh, Emilian; new players may wish to consult a summary of events leading up to this game.

This game will feature snacks and drinks, but not a full meal. For more information please contact GMs Jackie Axnderson and Beth Gxoldgar at cg126. You must be 18 years or older to participate in this (or any) Quest event.
