Supercharged!

The hero Patriot has been keeping Boston safe for two decades, vanquishing each supervillain and criminal mastermind that has tried to plague the city. Super-crime is at an all-time low thanks to his many years of vigilance and service.

Patriot, though, isn't getting any younger. With each passing year, his reflexes are a little bit slower, his punches a little less powerful, and he takes a little longer to heal up after a fight. Boston's greatest hero has decided that now is the time to retire, before he (or Boston) suffers something catastrophic.

But Boston's greatest defender is not about to leave the Hub unguarded. Patriot has invited the region's up-and-coming and lesser-known heroes to gather at the palatial suburban estate of the wealthy industrialist, Lance Patterson, to discuss the formation of a new heroic team: the Minuteman League, a group that will defend Boston after Patriot is gone.

One such invite has made its way to you. Are you ready to answer the call and become one of the new champions of the League?

When?

November 17, 2012. Check-in will be from 2pm to 3pm. The game is expected to end by about 9pm.

Where?

The Arlington Masonic Lodge at 19 Academy Street, Arlington, MA. (Directions)

How much?

Admission is $20, but is only $5 for first-time participants.

Game style?

Upbeat, boldly dramatic, and fun -- without being too silly nor too serious. Though set in modern times, it will be similar in tone to the comics of the 1960s, the optimistic "Silver Age".

“Supercharged!" is a day-long superhero LARP event, set in a world much like our own -- except for the presence of superheroes and supervillains. Registration for this event is now closed.

The Character Creation packet (see link above) describes the world and the flavor of the setting, and includes the special character-generation rules.

This game will feature a meal and drinks. Please inform the GMs of any food allergies or restrictions you might have.
