== Clean-up == by John Eure * The Majeniran kit * Although the GWC passed all our basic updates, they didn't pass the new change to the Majeniran kit, which would have allowed Majeniran clerics to cast Divine Wraths. They felt that kitted Majeniran clerics should only be able to cast the special Majeniran Divine Wrath (or other Divine Wraths that the GWC thinks are appropriate for Majenir). So they passed a revised version, and sent it back to us. (To summarize, the proposal will prohibit Piercing Grasp and Mass Curse, and will allow Divine Wrath, but now only with Majeniran afflictions.) We should keep in mind that the GWC looks after the gameworld aspects, and they've said it's OK. So as far as we're concerned, it fits Majenir perfectly. It's our job to look after balance and consistency, so that's what we should discuss, and that's what we should base our votes on. * Martyrdom * We recently changed Martyrdom. The Rannashite kit and the Balthazarian kit both prohibit it, and the Perinnian kit allows it to be cast for 1 spell point less. After looking at the kits and thinking about their balance, I'm happy leaving them alone, so I'm not proposing anything. If you disagree, then of course feel free to propose an update. Also, Martyrdom is the 4th level spell on the Path of the Mystic, but we made it a 2nd level spell in the cleric canon. I generally prefer to keep mystic spells within 1 level of normal, unless there's a good reason not to. So I'd like to replace Martyrdom with something, but I can't think of any decent 3rd or 4th level spell that would fit. (Magic Wall would be interesting, but it seems more like a Path of the Protector spell...) But given that Martyrdom is sort of a "healing" spell, and at that level mystics get healing spells at 1 or 2 levels higher than normal, and mystics can replace Martyrdom with something else, it's not the end of the world if we don't do anything. * The proposal * 1) Majeniran cleric kit -- In the Majeniran kit, change this: "No Wounding Grasp, Poisoned Grasp, Holy spells, Undead spells, Curse spells (but Mass Curse is OK), or Divine Wrath." to this: "No Grasp spells, Holy spells, Undead spells, or Curse spells. Divine Wrath is OK, but you may only cast the affliction(s) the GWC has approved for Majenir, and not the default affliction(s)."
