Here's where we can update cleric kits, racial kits, mystic paths, and the
potion table to take into account the changes we made.  We can also work
interpretations into the rules, to prevent confusion in the future.



* Fixes to Mystic Paths *

Since our main changes were in adding spells, we don't need to update our
Mystic Paths.  Mystics can substitute in new spells if they want.



* Fixes to Racial Kits *

The only change we made that would impact a racial kit (as far as I'm
aware) is that we clarified Initiation slightly.  We don't need to update
the mahiri kit for that.



* Fixes to the Alchemy List *

The RC has in the past decided that spells with "external" effects should
not be potions.  This includes spells like Safe Circle, Determine Potion,
and Heat Item.  I think that Magic Wall is an obviously external effect,
and thus should not be included in the potion list.  (Unless we change our
minds about external spell effects in general, which I think would be a
bad idea.)

We also decided that spells that inherently affect more than one person
should not be potions.  This includes Mass spells, and thus Mass Curse.

And we decided that spells that cause physical damage should not be
potions, and additionally that Grasp and Bolt spells should not be
potions.  Both of those categories include Piercing Grasp.



* Fixes to Interpretations *

Now's the time of year where we can work interpretations into the rules,
to make them clearer and easier to understand.  There's only one that I'm
proposing at the moment, but other people should feel free to propose
other ones.

What I want to clear up is how spell casting works when you're dazed.  
The current interpretation says that you can cast Noncombat spells, but
not Combat spells, so I'm proposing to add that in to the rules.

While that's simple and clear, I personally think it's too harsh on low
level mages.  Currently, up through 5th level, the only Noncombat spell
that might be remotely useful is Camouflage, but that requires a large
object, and is useless if someone saw you cast it (and presumably if they
managed to poison or Thunderclap you, they can see you).  So as a second
proposal, I'm proposing to allow the casting of Combat spells on oneself,
which will allow mages to use Blink to scuttle back from the front line.



* Fixes to Cleric Kits *

The kits for Brinnig and Majenir affect Holy Banishment, but I don't think
the spell has changed enough to warrant changes to the kits.

The kit for Tralados makes Speak with Spirit 2 points cheaper - since it
now only costs 2 points, this obviously needs to change.  I'm proposing we 
make it only 1 spell point cheaper (that is, it'll still cost only 1 
point).  We should also add a bonus for casting Truth on spirits.

The kits for Brinnig, Kahla-Ran, Majenir, Rannash, Tiranon, and Ubrialla
affect Grasp spells; by default these will affect Piercing Grasp too.  In 
my basic proposal, I'm simply proposing that we change "Grasp spells" to 
"Wounding Grasp" and "Poisoned Grasp".  That keeps the effects of the kit 
exactly the same.

The Balthazarian kit makes Curse and Divine Wrath 1 point cheaper.  I'm
proposing to change this to Curse and Mass Curse.  If we don't add Mass
Curse, it'll seem very odd.  To keep the kit balanced, though, we should
remove Divine Wrath - it's just swapping one 9th level spell for another, 
but it'll be more consistent.  (I'm not entirely sure this is worth 
changing the kit for - what do y'all think?)

The Brinnigite kit makes Wounding Grasp, Poisoned Grasp, and Curse cost 1
point extra.  I'm proposing to add Piercing Grasp and remove Curse, so
that it just makes all Grasp spells cost 1 point extra.  I think it's more
balanced this way, but it loses a bit of flavor, since the priest
description says "Curses are usually shunned as 'dark'"...  I'd be happy 
to hear other suggestions.

The Kahla-Ranite kit gives a bonus to Poisoned and Wounding Grasp, and so 
ideally should give a bonus to Piercing Grasp as well.  But since I can't 
think of a good penalty to balance it, I'm not proposing anything.

The Kytan kit bans Curse, and so ideally it should ban Mass Curse as well.  
But I can't think of a good bonus to balance it out, so I'm not proposing 
anything.

The Majeniran kit bans Wounding Grasp, Poisoned Grasp, Curse, and Divine
Wrath (among others).  I'm proposing to add Piercing Grasp and Mass Curse
to the banned list, and in exchange allow Majenirans to cast Divine Wrath.  
I think DW is a cool spell, and I'd like to see the Majeniran one get
cast.

The Rannashite kit makes Wounding and Poisoned Grasp 1 point cheaper.  I 
think that ideally it should also include Piercing Grasp, but I can't 
think of a good penalty to balance this out, so I'm not proposing 
anything.

The Tiranonian and Ubriallan kits ban Wounding and Poisoned Grasp.  
Again, I think that ideally they should also include Piercing Grasp, but I
can't think of good bonuses to balance them out, so I'm not proposing
anything.



* The proposals *

Potions 1) No Magic Wall, Mass Curse, or Piercing Grasp
